The Incredible Hulk Poster

Universal Pictures and Marvel Studios have released the first poster for The Incredible Hulk, opening in theaters on June 13.

Take a look at this bad boy below:

Here’s a synopsis for those not familiar with the comic or the film

“The Incredible Hulk” kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular superheroes of all time. In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk.

Living in the shadows–cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler)–Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt), and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power.

As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk’s creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as The Abomination (Tim Roth), whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk’s own. And on June 13, 2008, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside–The Incredible Hulk.

Must say I love it. The poster art really does a god job capturing the feel that they are going for. Now I have some apprehensions about the film but I like that they are going for more of the TV show style. I always liked the idea of Bruce Banner on the run instead of fighting a hulked out poodle (shudder). For those who don’t know this is a remake/retake of the series after the first Hulk film (directed by Ang Lee) didn’t preform to well at the box office.

Personally I didn’t have that big of a problem with the first film. I admire Ang for trying something other then “Hulk Smash!” But people want the Hulk to beat the ever loving God out of everything and pretty much that’s what there going to get here. No character driven plot’s here that’s for pussy’s ahhhhhhhh! aheem Sorry, anyway I’ll hold judgment until I see the film.
