George Carlin: 1937-2008

23 06 2008

Comedian George Carlin died yesterday of heart failure at the age of 71.

The legend was best known for his 7 words you can’t say on television as well as his film and television appearances, including his roles in both Bill & Ted movies and his three Kevin Smith films. Also, he received numerous awards including 4 Grammys and a Lifetime Achievement Award in Comedy from the American Comedy Awards.

Nearly 50 years of comedy, 14 HBO specials, 130 appearances on The Tonight Show 130 times, hell, he even had his own TV show.

George, we’re gonna miss you.
